Printer Room

Set up Printing on your computer

 Requirements:

1. Account on the Server (Odum)

If you do NOT have an account, see Will

2. Authentication module  required

3. PTAO required for color

4. Must have a logged in connection established with Odum Print Server,  to print.

How to test your account access/establish connection to Odum.

Go to, Start, and in the run window put

\\128.143.42.46     then hit enter

It will ask for your user name and password. OR open if you are directly connected to the server

If you can not get in, and you do not have an account or forgot your password on ODUM,  see Will.

Windows Setup or MAC Setup

Printing from the Windows computer (PDF Format)

Once you have established a connection with the server you can install the printer.

There are three printers.

1. hp_4015 (Duplex Hp printer)

2. hp_p3005  (Duplex Hp printer)

3. HP_Color (HP Color Laserjet 4600, Duplex printer, requires PTAO)

TO INSTALL:

NOTE: Windows 7 OS has the drivers built in. You will NOT need to download the drivers. Go to "Devices and Printers" select "Add Printer", then follow step #3 under manual setup.

1. For windows XP computers. Go to "Start", "Run" enter   \\128.143.42.46, log into the Odum print server. Double click on the printer you want to install.

2. If that does not work , see Manual Setup!

Manual Setup:   Get print driver from HP web site, download and run.

Set up the Factory Default settings

Before you print, make sure you set the "Printing PREFERENCES" for the factory default.

1. Select printer
2. Select Preferences

- Paper Size, Letter
- Paper source, Automatically
- Paper type, Unspecified

3. Set up DUPLEX Press HERE

FIRST Get print driver from HP web site, down and run.

Note: Odum username:password

Go to System preferences

Ad Printer

Click on the ADVANCED button

Note 1: When you send print job to printer, you will be asked to Authenticate. This is the ODUM server, user name and password.

Note 2: If print job is stuck in your que, select resume.
