Anti Virus Support

EVERY Computer connected to the EVSC Network needs be running the latest version of Symantec Antivirus software (Provided By UVA Free) or Any other Antivirus software used to protect your system.

All computer users should employ safe computing practices, including:

Keeping your Virus Definitions updated.
Installing Norton AntiVirus program updates, when available.
Deleting suspicious looking emails.

You may also scan your PC for threats now, by using the free online Symantec Security Check.

EVSC is now running our own management console. This console allows us to monitor the virus activity within the department. If you select "MANAGED" during the install you can browse and select the "EVSCbackup" server.

• Virus definition are pushed down to the managed computer systems daily as they are released.
• Scan are performed daily at 0500 hrs in the morning.
